POLICE are continuing to search for a man they want to speak to in connection with an assault probe after a woman was remanded in custody.
Essex Police was called to reports of an assault at the junction of St John’s Walk and Abbeygate Street in Colchester just after 11am on Saturday.
Detectives investigating the incident have now renewed their appeal for the public’s help to find Alex Potter.
The 32-year-old has short dark hair and stubble and has connections to Colchester, the force said.
A police spokesman said: “If you see Alex, please do not approach him and call 999. Quote incident number 470 of April 13.”
Other information which could assist the force’s inquiry, like dashcam or CCTV footage, can be reported by contacting Essex Police online at essex.police.uk/digital101 or by calling 101.
Anonymous reports can be made by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers at crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111.
Another suspect has appeared in court after being charged with causing grievous bodily harm, burglary, and criminal damage.
Bibi Stone, 38, of Ship Wharf, Colchester, appeared before magistrates in Chelmsford on Monday and has been remanded in custody before appearing at Ipswich Crown Court on May 13.
